Job summary

Group O, Inc. in Roanoke, TX is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, lead a team, and drive efficiency while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely order fulfillment.

You will implement best practices, optimize processes, and coordinate with multiple departments to support customer requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage people, processes, and resources to achieve

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; or certification is a plus.
• Two plus years' experience in warehouse operations management, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and ISO or other formal quality systems is preferred.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and meet customer service level agreements.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency, minimize errors, and maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless workflow and effective communication.
• Monitor inventory levels and control stock movements, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with inventory management protocols.
• Lead, mentor, and train warehouse staff, providing guidance, performance feedback, and support to foster a culture of teamwork and accountability, as well as hire, perform disciplinary actions, and dismiss as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Track and analyze key account metrics, such as client satisfaction, usage patterns, and revenue growth, to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to anticipate client needs and provide strategic guidance.
• Develop and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Manage supplier performance.
