Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Salt Lake City is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of hourly staff and direct daily activities such as loading/unloading, cross-docking, and customer service to meet service and cost objectives.

The role requires strong communication, discipline, and the ability to drive process improvements while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Shift is Monday–Friday, 2pm–10:30pm with flexibility to support the business as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years related functional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce to meet daily tasks and customer requirements.
• Supervise processes including scheduling, loading/unloading, and documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to improve productivity.
• Manage attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions per policy.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to site procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and customer goals.
