Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a proven leader to join our team at a Salt Lake City warehousing operation. The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to meet customer requirements and Penske goals.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, cross-docking and customer service while managing staffing and schedules in a compliant, cost-aware manner. We offer a comprehensive benefits plan and bonus eligibility based on individual and location performance.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ownership and responsibility to run the operation with urgency.
• Ability to connect with associates and external customers at all levels.
• Proven ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Experience with inventory management system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce for daily tasks and customer service operations.
• Supervise processes including scheduling of workforce and equipment.
• Make corrective actions and disciplinary decisions up to written warning.
• Involved in hiring and customer meetings as necessary.
• Supervise logistics operations, including dispatch and proper documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and evaluate improvements to productivity.
