Job summary

AVL USA INC, located in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the plant's warehouse operations, ensuring safe, accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. You will lead warehouse staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and partner with the Warehouse and Distribution Operations Manager to optimize processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing (power generation preferred), strong leadership, proficiency in MS Office, and experience with WMS/ERP

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and KPIs.
• Leadership skills and the ability to manage personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Experience in Visual ERP is considered an asset.
• Valid forklift, Aerial Lift, Crane, Rigging, and Hoisting licenses are considered an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in the Power Generation sector.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Warehouse, Inventory management, and shipping.
• Ensure that goods are received, inspected, and stored accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping departments to meet production schedules and demands.
• Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layout and space utilization to optimize workflow and storage capacity.
• Assist HR with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Administer probationary and annual performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Work with the Warehouse and Distribution Operations Manager to implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure proper stock levels.
• Work with other departments to manage stock levels and reorder points.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other technology solutions to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, including metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and efficiency.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations to senior management based on analysis and operational needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse to reduce risks, improve efficiency, and comply with safety standards.
