Job summary

Lab Alley, based in Austin, Texas, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our warehouse facilities and end-to-end fulfillment for Essential Chemicals. You will drive daily receiving, packing, and shipping, while managing a high-performing team and ensuring safety, speed, and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in operations/production management, strong WMS/ERP experience, and a data-driven approach to optimize KPIs and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations or production management in warehouse/fulfillment, preferably in regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with WMS and ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of HazMat storage, downpacking, and shipping regulations (DOT/IATA a plus).
• Data-driven mindset with KPIs like order cycle time, pick accuracy, cost per unit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving, downpacking, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping to maintain on-time delivery and high inventory accuracy.
• Direct, mentor, and scale warehouse team; supervise two leaders: Production Supervisor and Shipping Supervisor.
• Manage scheduling, cross-training, shift planning, and performance evaluations to optimize labor and throughput.
