Job summary

Maxwood Furniture is seeking a Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee the forklift department in our 500,000 square foot Marion, South Carolina warehouse. You will drive efficiency, safety, and lead a high-performing team.

The right candidate is hands-on, communicates clearly, solves problems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while partnering with Procurement and Logistics to ensure on-time fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory control processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a team, provide clear direction, and motivate employees.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with WMS software a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily forklift department operations to meet productivity targets.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and optimize warehouse processes to improve workflow, accuracy, and performance.
• Train, coach, and support team members to enhance skills and engagement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics to support timely order fulfillment.
• Implement and uphold warehouse best practices to improve quality and safety.
• Track, analyze, and report on key forklift operation KPIs.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
