Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Rock Hill, SC to manage day-to-day warehouse activities and supervise staff. The role focuses on meeting daily production goals, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent supervisory experience, familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred), and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or at least 1-5 years of supervisory experience
• High School Diploma required
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
• Experience with seasonal work forces is a plus
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma tools
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment
• Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and willingness to become certified as necessary
• Excellent talent management and team building skills
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills with external clients
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand/walk for 10-12 hours
• Lift and move totes up to 50 pounds
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching
• Walking in the distribution center over a quarter mile in length
• Able to access all areas of the building with variable noise, lighting and temperature

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to meet goals
• Provides direct supervision to warehouse personnel matching skill to work
• Supervises all inbound and outbound shipments for timeliness and accuracy
• Ensures equipment is utilized efficiently
• Coordinates equipment maintenance with management
• Reviews daily objectives to meet building goals
• Balances labor with management to ensure staffing
• Drafts and submits daily end of shift reports
• Makes recommendations to improve operations and works on those programs
• Conducts daily pre-shift meetings covering productivity and forecasts workload
• Assists in developing training and motivation programs
• Manages onboarding programs for new personnel
• Maintains HR practices and adherence to policies
• Resolves employee relations issues and documents performance
• Coaches and provides feedback for skill development
• Participates in talent selection and development
• Delivers hourly performance reviews and maintains timekeeping records
• Stays current with information, tools and systems
• Travels to other warehouses for meetings as needed
