Job summary

Floor & Decor in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to direct and oversee store warehouse operations, supervise specialists, order pickers and forklift operators, and support the Receiving Supervisor in scheduling freight based on customer and inventory needs.

You will ensure efficient shipping/receiving, maintain equipment, enforce safety programs, and train associates while coordinating with other departments to keep inventory moving smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with other departments and maintain effective relationships.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills and Windows-based systems proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping/receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Enforce warehouse safety programs and OSHA requirements.
• Train associates and supervise disciplinary actions to maintain productivity.
• Resolve inquiries and coordinate with other departments to optimize operations.
• Complete activity reports and monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Ensure products are staged for counting and stored properly to conserve space.
• Oversee inventory rotation and perform other duties as directed.
