Job summary

Wanco Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager at our Arvada, CO facility. You will lead the warehouse staff, control inventory, and oversee shipping operations, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries.

The role collaborates with purchasing and production and requires experience with ERP systems, LEAN principles, and ISO 9001 compliant procedures. The position emphasizes KPI management, budget oversight, and safety programs, with responsibilities spanning from staff supervision to negotiating freight

Qualifications

• Three+ years of warehouse/logistics leadership with teams over 10 and 75K+ SF.
• Proven parcel and LTL negotiation experience.
• Strong inventory planning, replenishment, lead times, and production readiness.
• Experience with root-cause analysis tools.
• 5S discipline and lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent cross-team communication.
• ISO 9001 compliant procedure writing.
• Experience using ERP data, SQL, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Staff leadership: recruit, train, supervise, assign tasks, and conduct performance reviews.
• Inventory control: maintain high inventory accuracy using ERP, oversee flows, cycle counts, root cause and prevention.
• Order fulfillment: manage customer orders and ensure on-time, quality targets.
• KPI management: develop and report department KPIs.
• Storage: implement effective 5S compliant warehouse storage methods.
• Equipment management: plan and manage material handling equipment requirements.
• Budget management: develop and report operation and CAPEX budgets.
• Safety: manage equipment and safety programs and certifications.
• Inventory disposition: handle slow moving and obsolete stock.
• Freight: negotiate and manage Parcel and LTL contracts.
• Best practices: develop storage methods and SOPs; ensure compliance.
