Job summary

KCO Resource Management seeks a Warehouse Manager for a major food manufacturer on the 2nd shift to lead warehouse and shipping operations, drive inventory accuracy, staffing, safety, sanitation, productivity, and cost management. You will build a high-performing team and partner with multiple internal groups to optimize flow and compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5+ years in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations; Lean knowledge preferred.
  • Experience managing labor, costs, productivity, and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with GMPs and food manufacturing or regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, storage, sanitation, and order fulfillment.
  • Plan staffing and workflow to support shipping schedules and customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, rotation, traceability, and timely transactions.
  • Monitor labor, costs, productivity, and service levels; identify opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Partner with Transportation, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and other teams to ensure efficient product flow and resolve issues.
  • Maintain GMPs, food safety, OSHA, sanitation, and audits compliance.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop warehouse staff while driving accountability and retention.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service, productivity, and overall warehouse performance.

Job description

We’re working with a major food manufacturer that’s seeking a Warehouse Manager for their 2nd shift. This key leadership role will be responsible for warehouse and shipping operations, including inventory, staffing safety, sanitation, productivity, and cost management. The Warehouse Manager will have the opportunity to develop a high-performing team, drive operational improvements, and contribute to the continued success of this growing facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, sanitation, and order fulfillment.
  • Plan staffing and workflow to support shipping schedules, customer needs, and operational priorities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, product rotation, traceability, and timely warehouse transactions.
  • Monitor labor, operating expenses, product loss, service levels, and productivity while identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Partner with Transportation, Distribution, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and other teams to ensure efficient product flow and resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain compliance with GMPs, food safety, OSHA, sanitation, company policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting internal and external audits.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop warehouse employees and supervisors while driving accountability, engagement, and retention.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service, productivity, and overall warehouse performance.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations. Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean knowledge preferred.
  • Experience managing labor, costs, productivity, and operational performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with GMPs and food manufacturing or regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with WMS systems and Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
