Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient food storage, inventory management, and distribution. Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and managing logistics to support hunger relief efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
2. Ensure safe and efficient storage, handling, and distribution of food and materials.
3. Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures.
4. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
5. Manage warehouse equipment maintenance and operation.
6. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, OSHA regulations, and other guidelines.
7. Coordinate with inventory control and transportation teams to optimize logistics.
8. Develop contingency plans for emergencies or high-demand periods.
9. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork among staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of warehouse management or logistics experience, preferably in a nonprofit or food distribution setting.
• Proven leadership and motivational skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
