Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient material flow, optimized storage, timely shipments, and accurate inventory records. This role involves supervising daily operations, process improvement, safety compliance, and data analysis for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and enhance material flow between departments and off-site locations, including handling hazardous materials.
2. Optimize storage locations and ensure timely delivery using SAP and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) systems.
3. Manage inventory movement, storage, processing, and obsolete inventory.
4. Oversee packaging, storage, and distribution operations in compliance with legal and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
5. Ensure adherence to material, waste management, and EHS guidelines.
6. Supervise receiving, loading, and unloading of goods, ensuring accurate tracking with EWM.
7. Assist with logistical movements, including foreign shipment documentation and hazardous material paperwork.
8. Supervise and train Warehouse & Logistics Technicians, including performance management.
9. Collaborate with material planners to ensure material availability and proper staging.
10. Report and investigate EHS incidents, implement corrective actions, and maintain records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field; 3-5 years of warehouse or shipping leadership experience supporting manufacturing environments; equivalent education and experience considered.
• Experience with SAP and the chemical industry preferred.
• Certifications such as Dangerous Goods (DG), US Department of Transportation (DOT), and International Air Transport Association (IATA) are preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial equipment is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent speaking and listening.
• Physical activities including climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, and handling materials.
• Must have the physical ability to support repetitive movements without fatigue.
