Job Purpose

The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor oversees and organizes warehousing and logistics activities at the base, supporting operational processes actively.

Relationship Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Base Manager Nieuw-Amsterdam
  • Supervises warehouse and logistics staff (Material Controller, Material Handler)
  • Collaborates with colleagues within the base and region, including project management, sales, asset coordination, purchasing, finance, and workshop teams
  • Maintains external relationships with customers (Pressure Control), transporters, and forwarders
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for warehouse and logistics department within the organization
  • Lead inventory counts and control activities
  • Manage personnel, planning, and operations within warehouse and logistics
  • Set objectives, targets, and action plans for the department
  • Guide team members and participate in daily operations
  • Contribute to projects on quality, business excellence, and core initiatives
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Manage SAP transactions for warehouse and logistics
  • Monitor performance of processes
  • Ensure health, safety, and manual handling compliance
  • Determine requirements for operations and make requisitions
  • Handle goods receiving and issuing, including documentation
  • Coordinate transport requests and export documentation outside the EU
  • Generate inventory reports from ERP systems
  • Optimize MRP settings and storage space utilization
  • Report and resolve discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Perform basic quality control functions
Requirements
  • Secondary education
  • At least 5 years of relevant warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Industry experience preferred
  • ERP knowledge (SAP preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in SAP and Office 365
  • Warehousing training
