Job summary

NEFCO is seeking a Warehouse/Distribution Supervisor in Baton Rouge to oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatching of construction materials. The role ensures accuracy of orders, process efficiencies, and safe warehouse operations.

The successful candidate will lead a team, coordinate with the Inventory Manager, and maintain compliance with company policies while driving performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a track record in industrial warehousing/distribution operations for 2+ years.
• Effective communicator up, down and across the organization.
• High school diploma (or equivalent); college degree preferred.
• Proficient with NEFCO’s ERP system and warehouse layouts for planning.
• Able to lift up to 50+ lbs. and operate forklift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders and inter-branch transfers are picked, checked, packed, loaded per guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of orders (correct material/quantity/quality).
• Collaborate with Inventory Manager to control stock and minimize lost items.
• Process all parcel shipments for customer delivery.
• Foster high performance and teamwork among staff to meet goals.
• Enforce policies and administer corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse and processing areas; ensure safety practices.
