Job summary

NEFCO Construction Supply LLC in East Hartford, CT seeks an experienced warehouse supervisor to oversee distribution operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching of construction materials. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and high performance across the team, while coordinating with the inbound/inventory manager to control stock.

The role requires 2+ years in warehousing, effective communication, and proficiency with NEFCO’s ERP system.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial warehousing/distribution operations.
• Effective communicator up, down and across the organization.
• Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are picked, checked, packed and loaded per guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy and quality of orders for delivery.
• Collaborate with inbound/inventory manager to control stock.
• Process all parcel shipments for customer delivery.
• Lead and motivate staff to high performance standards.
• Communicate policies and administer corrective action as needed.
• Foster teamwork to meet operational goals.
• Review and approve employee timecards; manage PTO requests.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of warehouse and processing areas.
• Oversee training initiatives and implement improvements.
• Support in using warehouse layouts for planning purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety practices.
