Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) seeks a Loader, Non-Formula to support its warehouse operations in Hickory, NC. You will transport goods to trailers using forklifts or pallet jacks, prepare pallets for shipping, and help maintain a safe, efficient distribution flow.

The role requires lifting up to 90 pounds and comfort with cooler/freezer environments. Day 1 benefits and growth opportunities accompany a team-focused work culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 6+ months warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime.
• Able to lift 10-35 pounds and generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in cooler, freezer, and dry environments.

Responsibilities

• Transport items to the trailer using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand per loading plan.
• Move outgoing products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift.
• Wrap pallets, secure loads, and ensure shipping labels are in place.
• Locate trailer slots, set in place, and secure the load.
• Remove empty pallets and packing to designated areas.
• Inspect pallets for damage and move as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and safe per policies.
• Wear all required PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork and secure equipment.
