Job description

WeatherTech is seeking a Warehouse Lead to support our exception department by ensuring proper package labeling and directing, along with conducting periodic audits to verify product quality standards. This position offers shifts: 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm and 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

Responsibilities

1. Prioritize daily work assignments for the team by analyzing reports, delegating tasks based on skills and demands, and reassigning as needed throughout the shift.
2. Supervise team members to ensure safety, efficiency, and task completion.
3. Investigate and resolve discrepancies on reports, BOLs, etc.
4. Train new and current employees on policies, procedures, and safety protocols; enforce compliance.
5. Cross-train team members on various functions to improve flexibility and productivity.
6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all processes within the work area.
7. Fill in for team members and perform daily tasks during downtime.
8. Participate in daily shift meetings to facilitate communication across shifts and departments.
9. Address employee concerns, manage conflicts, and maintain confidentiality regarding personnel matters.
10. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
11. Keep the work area clean and maintain equipment.
12. Communicate effectively and collaborate as part of a team.
13. Prepare the next shift for success.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Experience in a warehouse environment.
2. Basic skills in reading, counting, and computer use.
3. Critical thinking skills to resolve discrepancies.
4. Ability to read, write, and understand work orders and instructions in English.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Knowledge of safety practices to prevent accidents.
7. High attention to detail to avoid issues affecting efficiency.
8. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
