Overview

Responsible for assisting in coordinating and monitoring activities engaged in the warehouse activities. Lead the warehouse staff and ensure safety protocols are followed. Ensure daily needs are met for internal and external customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned warehouse area pertaining to quality, workmanship, productivity, recovery, sanitation, and employee practices
• Meet daily shipment requirements to guarantee AIT's service levels are achieved. Ensure that customer's goods arrive at final destination and are received in a timely manner
• Monitor and expedite workflow of the dock area and make adjustments when necessary. Answer questions from warehouse employees regarding processes and escalate to management as needed
• Handle training or process communications to warehouse personnel and ensure team compliance
• Oversee inventory control including data entry, cycle counts, and client reporting updates
• Operate forklifts (gasoline or electric) to move materials around the warehouse
• Follow safety policies and ensure warehouse personnel adhere to safety procedures to maintain personnel order and cleanliness
• Ensure compliance with all safety and warehouse processes
• Communicate issues related to attendance, performance, and operations to management and other leads
• Train warehouse personnel in processes and safety, and assist in improving procedures and performance

Qualifications

Education: High School Degree or equivalent required

Experience: 5+ years in team leadership and warehouse operations; 3+ years with MS Outlook and Excel; 5+ years with 3PL systems (preferred)

Skills and Certifications: Inventory and cycle count proficiency, communication skills, computer skills, forklift certification

Other desirable skills include being a team player, having a strong work ethic, growth mindset, and customer service focus.
