Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver at our Dayton, NJ facility. You will safely maneuver trailers to and from the dock and coordinate with the yard team and Operations Management to keep the dock running efficiently.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, proper trailer positioning, and clear communication of moves. A CDL is required and a clean driving record is essential. This position offers night and weekend shifts with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience, preferably with trailers
• Class A CDL required and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Switch trailers during daily sort and hook up sets for line hauls

OnTrac is hiring a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Pay: $28.10 Per hour

Shifts: Sunday - Tuesday from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
• Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery
• Class A CDL
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening
• Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

The Responsibilities

• Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor
• Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility
