OnTrac is hiring a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver. Location: Logan Township, NJ. Pay: $27.23 per hour. Shift: Thu–Sat, 3:00 PM–3:30 AM; hours may change. Duties include safely maneuvering trailers to/from the dock and coordinating with the yard team.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL

• Basic English proficiency for safety and instructions

OnTrac is hiring a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver !

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Location Details: 701 Crossroads Boulevard, Door S, Logan Township, NJ 08085

Pay: $27.23 per hour

Shift: Thursday - Saturday from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both

Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery

Class A CDL

Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks

Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening

Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment

The Responsibilities:

Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program

Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards

Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor

Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility

Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management
