Job summary

Hy-Vee, at the Lomar Distribution Center, is seeking a Warehouse Generalist focused on heavy lifting and accurate order selection. The role involves using voice-automated and pick-to-light systems to pick, palletize, and stage shipments for store delivery.

The candidate must be able to operate power equipment safely, follow instructions, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse. High school diploma or equivalent required; on-site work in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must have (or be able to obtain) required safety certifications for equipment operation.
• Ability to meet the language and hearing requirements for voice automated selection.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Select and palletize merchandise for shipment using voice systems and pick-to-light as needed.
• Ensure pallets are stable and shrink-wrapped before loading.
• Apply pallet IDs and stage orders for delivery.
• Perform daily safety checks on power equipment and use safety gear.
• Keep work area clean and organized; attend meetings.
