Job summary

Americold in Tampa, FL, seeks a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. You will load/unload, stack, pick and pack orders, and ensure accuracy, labeling, and inspection of freight while adhering to OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment.
• Inspect freight for safety, damage, and accuracy; label and wrap as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and meet production standards.
• Assist with inventory and battery changes as needed.
