Job description

Staffmark is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team at a leading distributor of chips, snacks, and related products. If you have experience operating forklifts and are committed to safety, this is a great opportunity to advance your career in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Pay: $20 - $21.50 per hour, depending on the shift

Shifts Available: Multiple shifts with start times between 9 AM - 12 AM at a 24/7 facility. Work 4 days a week, including a Saturday or Sunday, with 10-12+ hour shifts per day.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate Crown brand stand-up electric forklifts and cherry pickers to move, stack, and retrieve products in the warehouse.
2. Pick and pull chips and snack products based on order lists or inventory needs.
3. Load and unload trucks, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
4. Stage and sequence products for efficient loading and delivery.
5. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
6. Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it's in good working condition.
7. Report equipment malfunctions, inventory discrepancies, or safety hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor.
8. Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.
9. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Prior experience with Crown stand-up electric forklifts and cherry pickers is required.
3. Forklift and cherry picker certification (or willingness to obtain).
4. Ability to read and interpret order lists and safety instructions.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
7. Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
8. Team player with good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
