Warehouse Forklift Operator - Jacksonville (Manufacturing)

Our Warehouse Forklift Operators are skilled professionals responsible for maneuvering industrial powered equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient warehouse operations at Publix Distribution.

Their duties include:

1. Moving cases and pallets to designated warehouse locations.
2. Transporting products from the receiving dock to reserve areas.
3. Replenishing pick locations as they are emptied, using reserve stock.
4. Rotating inventory to prioritize the most dated stock.
5. Maintaining cleanliness by sweeping empty slots and keeping the warehouse tidy.
6. Occasionally filling in for Warehouse Selectors and other roles as needed.

The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Successfully complete a Work Attitude Survey.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations before start date.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 67 pounds (85 pounds in Boxed Meat/Dairy Warehouse).
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist.
• Operate a pallet truck or forklift safely within the operator compartment.
• Stack products of varying weights.
• Work effectively under strict time constraints.
• Read, write, and verify numbers accurately.
• Follow instructions and interpret operational guidelines.
