- Pay: $20 - $22 an hour, based on experience
- Schedule is Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm
Position Summary:Responsible for administrative and safety related support activities, under the direction of the Safety Manager, to monitor, administer, implement, maintain and report on the location's risk management, safety, and related compliance programs. Works closely with safety manager, as directed, through meetings, emails and phone calls to ensure that all required information is collected and reported accurately and timely.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:- Review, implement, and train on SOP's, SSOP's, HACCP and food defense plans.
- Serve as recall coordinator and coordinate details of recalls, withdrawals, and holds.
- Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and contribute positively to profit margin; work closely with the cooler Receiving Department on perishable items.
- Checking product temperatures in Cooler and Freezer depts.
- Communicate and interact with customers (and company personnel) and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure customers' and vendors' questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Determine the quality of products returned by customers; work with Returns Clerk on returned produce quality.
- Check the quality of produce and ensure poor quality products are removed before customer purchase, proper rotation and quality of product on a daily basis.
- Maintain and update the required paperwork, create reports, and communicate with team members.
- Understands food safety and food security to assist with internal audits, process monitoring and/or quality checks.
- Assist with investigations and root cause analysis to ensure food safety issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support preventive measures within the facility to reduce potential food safety risks and record keeping for compliance purposes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
1-3 years administrative experience with strong administrative and organization skills; detail oriented
Must be computer proficient with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote)
Prior warehouse experience
Ability to learn programs such as SAP and/or AS400.
Great communication skills via email and phone as role interfaces with internal and external customers
Must be able to work in our cooler and freezer departments. The environments range from 36°F (2°C) to -10°F (-23°C). Freezer jackets provided.
Preferred Qualifications2-4 Years : procurement, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area within foodservice industry
6-12 months experience in food safety in a foodservice warehouse.
