Regional Child Welfare Safety Specialist-Region 6

Position: Child Welfare Regional Safety Specialist, Region 6 (Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, and Sampson Counties). This is a home-based position.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monitoring, training, and providing or arranging technical assistance to the county child welfare program.
  2. Collaborating with the county to improve their program and directing the CQI process.
  3. Providing on-site and off-site consultation and coaching.
  4. Reviewing records and data related to performance measures and other metrics.
  5. Building professional relationships to improve outcomes for adults, children, and families, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, North Carolina General Statutes, and Administrative Rules and policies.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must demonstrate:

  • Experience with North Carolina child welfare statutes, rules, policies, and best practices.
  • Experience in change management and quality improvement processes within child welfare programs.
  • Skills in data collection and analysis to optimize technical assistance resources.
  • Supervisory experience in child welfare.
Minimum Education and Experience:

Master's degree in a related discipline with four years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
