Job summary

thyssenkrupp seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehousing activities, ensure production and distribution objectives are met, and coach a team to operate safely and efficiently. Role involves direct supervision on the warehouse floor with exposure to heavy machinery and adherence to company policies.

The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, basic math and computer skills, and experience in forklift operations, packing, and measurement.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills (HS diploma or equivalent).
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
• Demonstrates ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• Must demonstrate leadership and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet production and distribution objectives within budget and deadlines.
• Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work.
• Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
• Ensure safety training and proper use of equipment and procedures.
• Maintain timely, effective communications with customers and suppliers.
• Record keeping and administrative duties as required.
• Report accidents or incidents to Management within 24 hours.
• Monitor working conditions and take corrective or disciplinary action as necessary.
• Apply problem solving techniques to resolve personnel and quality issues.
• This role works on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
