SERVPRO of Metairie is seeking a Warehouse & Facilities Manager to join our team of professionals, responsible for a variety of restoration duties.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be able to work in and assist people through challenging situations, and be customer service-oriented. Our primary task each day is to help customers experiencing emotional distress and restore their confidence. The role involves mobilizing homes or businesses for packing and moving out to facilitate restoration, cleaning, deodorizing, and storing contents until the process is complete. The team also handles cleaning of structures affected by fire, water, or mold, along with general cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring, communicating, and responding to customer needs
• Planning and organizing warehouse materials and inventory
• Handling shipping operations
• Maintaining, cleaning, and repairing warehouse assets
• Organizing warehouse, grounds, restrooms, hallways, and offices
• Overseeing facility maintenance
• Managing job file documentation
• Coaching and training technicians
• Ensuring effective communication with team members and management
• Developing skills and knowledge of services, cleaning products, and equipment
• Controlling costs of products and supplies
• Managing equipment, products, and supplies
• Adhering to safety and risk management guidelines in all settings

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license
• 2+ years of pack-out, moving, or warehouse experience (preferred)
• Experience towing or pulling trailers (preferred)
• Understanding of warehouse management and inventory control
• Supervision and leadership skills
• Proficiency with computers
• Effective oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Skills, Physical Demands, and Competencies:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, drive, sit, climb, and work at heights and in tight spaces
• Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to work with cleaning agents safely
