Job summary

TileBar seeks a Department Specialist to serve as a subject-matter expert in the Warehouse department, guiding daily operations and upholding safety and efficiency standards. You will coach staff, reinforce SOPs, and share best practices to drive performance improvements.

Reports to leadership, supports onboarding, and collaborates to close skill gaps. A strong focus on process consistency and training materials will be essential to your success in this role.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and departmental workflows.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain processes and expectations.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a subject matter expert for assigned warehouse department functions.
• Supports onboarding and on-the-job training of new hires by demonstrating proper work methods, safety practices, and productivity standards.
• Provides ongoing coaching and guidance to existing employees to reinforce best practices and address performance gaps.
• Partners with department leadership to identify skill gaps, process inefficiencies, and training opportunities.
• Assists in developing and updating departmental job aids, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Monitors employee adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and company policies.
• Serves as a point of contact for operational questions and process clarification within the department.
• Supports cross-training efforts to improve workforce flexibility and coverage.
• Maintains awareness of workflow changes, system updates, and operational improvements impacting the department.
• Promotes a safety-first culture and immediately escalates safety concerns or process risks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
