Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Hayward, CA. The role requires 3-5 years of warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in warehouse management systems.

You will process inbound and outbound shipments, prepare parcels, and support cycle counts and daily receiving tasks. The position involves coordinating material transfers, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate inventory and safety compliance in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process receipt of all inbound freight by packing slip and PO, and processing outbound shipments from the warehouse with correct labeling.
  • Prepare parcels for shipping.
  • Replenish product received into its stocking location and process, pick, pack, stage, and ship.
  • Assist the warehouse specialist in cycle counting as needed.
  • Direct workflow in receiving area, set priorities and meet deadlines for receiving.
  • Read production schedule, work order, or requisition to determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
  • Fill work orders, material requests, sample requests and distribute to Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Quality teams.
  • Kit/stage work orders in specified sequence according to production schedule.
  • Maintain material handling equipment and report potential problems.
  • Perform physical counts, spot-checks, and periodic inventory verification, as well as monthly/annual physical inventory and record keeping.
  • Keep racks neat and organized; keep receiving area and aisles clean and hazard-free.
  • Transfer material to production lines and back to warehouse locations in both physical and system inventories.
  • Work with quality receiving and inspection to stage materials for sampling with proper labels.
  • Complete bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment and bar code for shipping orders.
  • Comply with SOPs, GMPs, safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare parcels for shipping.
  • Responsible for replenishing product that has been received into its assigned stocking location and processing, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.

  • Keep raw material, MRO, and Finished Good racks neat and organized, and keep receiving area and aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions.
  • Transfer material to the production lines from the warehouse physically and in the inventory control system, and transfer “return to stock” material back to the warehouse physical location and in the inventory control system.
  • Works with quality receiving and inspection department to ensure materials are properly staged for sampling, proper samples are available with labels, and staged in proper area(s).
  • Complete bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment and bar code assignments for shipping orders.
  • Complies with SOPs, GMPs, safety rules and regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists in completing preventive maintenance activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PIT certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Use pallet jack, forklift, and other material handling equipment to move materials.
  • Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (e.g., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (e.g., security guard, inspection, etc.).
Required Education

Accredited high school diploma or equivalent required, AA preferred.

Work Hours

Full-Time - Monday-Friday 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM. Must be able to work overtime as required.
