The role involves managing inventory levels, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining accurate records. The selected candidate will need to wear long sleeves, pants (jeans), and safety steel-toed boots. All other PPE can be obtained onsite.
Shift time is 7am to 4pm CST. Overtime hours may be required.
• Coordinate efforts with other users, purchasing, and accounting to maintain inventory levels and adjust minimum/maximum quantities.
• Receive all materials required for operations and maintenance of the plant. Pick and have materials ready for work orders listed on the daily schedules.
• Maintain an effective system for physically locating and storing materials.
• Set up and manage a system for controlling the issue of materials.
• Maintain and update the Maximo inventory database.
• Conduct regular inventory counts to verify accuracy against system data.
• Keep detailed records of cycle counts, adjustments, and resolutions.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root causes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in inventory management within an industrial setting.
Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency with computer software and personal computers.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and precision measurement tools such as dial calipers and rules.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings.
Physical Demands:
• Stationary position.
• Constantly seated or stationary.
• Ability to exert force and push as needed.
• Ability to ascend and descend as required.
• Ability to crouch and handle materials constantly.
