Job summary

Rich Products Corporation is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Chicago Heights, IL. The role focuses on shipping, receiving and transporting packaging, ingredients and finished goods within a cold environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English literacy, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Forklift operation and annual recertification are mandatory. The candidate will follow GMPs and safety rules and support inventory and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Shipping, receiving and transporting packaging, ingredients, and finished goods.
  • Observe safety rules and GMP, maintain clean workspace.
  • Operate and be certified for forklift; participate in daily inspections.
  • Document delivery receipts and material handling in the company system.
  • Assist with inventory counts and rotate stock as needed.
  • Perform warehouse and freezer duties and general housekeeping.

Warehouse Clerk

Location: Chicago Heights, IL, US, 60411

Rich’s, also known as Rich Products Corporation, is a family‑owned food company dedicated to inspiring possibilities.

Purpose Statement

The Material Handler is responsible for shipping, receiving and transporting packaging, ingredients, and finished goods for the facility.

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.
  • Follows all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
  • Maintains forklifts by daily inspecting batteries, water levels, lights, horn, tires, mirrors, oil levels, backup beep indicators, etc.
  • Verifies all deliveries/discrepancies by inspecting materials through physically counting and comparing the amount printed on the delivery receipt.
  • Enters necessary documentation of delivery receipts or material handling into the company’s computer system.
  • Organizes/rotates old materials with new.
  • Performs housekeeping: daily removes/fixes any dirty, torn, hanging, broken wood, packaging, ingredients, etc.
  • Assists management with inventory balances through physical cycle counts.
  • Labels any open/partial ingredient and packaging.
  • Checks production schedules daily to stage packaging and ingredients if needed.
  • Performs all other warehouse and freezer duties.
  • Must be able to operate all forklift equipment.
  • Must be trained and recertified annually for forklift license.
  • Must be able to work in an extremely cold environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must read, write and speak English.
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • One year or more material handling experience.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Be able to regularly stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich’s"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$20.00‑$20.00
