Responsibilities

• Ship, receive and transport packaging, ingredients and finished goods.
• Observe safety rules and wear PPE; keep work area clean and orderly.
• Inspect forklifts; maintain equipment and perform routine checks.
• Enter delivery receipts and material handling data into the computer system.
• Organize/rotate old materials with new; label open ingredients.
• Assist with inventory balances via cycle counts.
• Check production schedules daily to stage packaging and ingredients.
• Perform warehouse and freezer duties as required.

Purpose Statement

The Material Handler is responsible for shipping, receiving and transporting packaging, ingredients and finished goods for the facility.

• Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.
• Follows all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
• Maintains forklifts by daily inspecting batteries, water levels, lights, horn, tires, mirrors, oil levels, backup beep indicators, etc.
• Verifies all deliveries/discrepancies by inspecting materials through physically counting and comparing the amount printed on the delivery receipt.
• Enters necessary documentation of delivery receipts or material handling into the company’s computer system.
• Organizes/rotates old materials with new.
• Housekeeping: daily removes/fixes any dirty, torn, hanging, broken wood, packaging, ingredients etc.
• Assists management with inventory balances through physical cycle counts.
• Labels any open/partial ingredient and packaging.
• Checks production schedules daily to stage packaging and ingredients if needed.
• Performs all other warehouse and freezer duties.
• Must be able to operate all forklift equipment.
• Must be trained and recertified annually for forklift license.
• Must be able to work in an extremely cold environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read, write and speak English.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$21.00–$21.00
