Job summary

Rich Products Corporation, Crest Hill, IL, is seeking a production operator to set up and change over equipment as needed, while following food safety and quality guidelines. You will ensure equipment readiness for on-time startup and perform daily production tasks in a high-energy manufacturing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in manufacturing, plus strong communication, teamwork, and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to take direction and follow instructions.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, as applicable.
  • Medium to high degree of judgment.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality. Follow established work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, change over, adjust, repair and operate all machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is in operating condition and ready for on time startup.
  • Make necessary adjustments to keep products flowing consistently.
  • Perform process control and quality checks.
  • Operate date coders and verify code dates on cases.
  • Clean all equipment using current sanitation practices.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in obtaining samples of products and other duties.
  • Responsible for basic troubleshooting of processing equipment.
  • Complete daily production reports/documents accurately and on time.
  • Train new associates.
  • Perform any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Purpose Statement

The operator is responsible for setting up and changing equipment based upon product need, while adhering to all food safety and food quality guidelines.

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment.
  • Follows all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
  • Must be able to set up, change over, adjust, repair and operate all machinery and equipment.
  • Ensures all equipment is in operating condition and ready for on time startup.
  • Must have the knowledge and experience to make necessary adjustments to keep products flowing consistently.
  • Performs process control and quality checks.
  • Operates date coders and verifies code dates on cases.
  • Cleans all equipment using current sanitation practices.
  • Assists Quality Assurance in obtaining samples of products and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Responsible for basic troubleshooting of all processing equipment.
  • Responsible for accurate, timely and legible completion of daily production reports/documents.
  • Trains new associates.
  • Performs any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to take direction and follow instructions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Good physical health and ability to manage work in a high energy environment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$20.01-$20.01
