Job summary

Ryder seeks a seasoned Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply Lean methods, data-driven analysis, and automation to warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing operations in Kentucky. You will lead Kaizen events, map processes, and drive value across safety, quality, and delivery metrics.

Responsibilities include developing and managing transformation plans, coaching teams, and sustaining improvements while collaborating with operations and customers. Strong SQL/PowerBI skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 5+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing; or a Master’s with 3+ years; MBA requires engineering undergrad.
• 5+ years related experience in Warehousing & Transportation and/or Manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel/PowerPoint/Access; data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL/DAX skills preferred.
• Experience with Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S is required or beginner level.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement culture across the operation.
• Apply CI methods to new and existing operations.
• Identify and drive operational change through data-driven CI, engineering, and automation.
• Deliver improved safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development metrics.
• Collect data, perform statistical analysis, and map/document processes.
• Identify gaps and implement process improvements.
• Develop and manage CI and transformation plans; execute projects.
• Coach process owners on Lean methods and sustainment.
