Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a warehouse associate in Chicago to support shipping and receiving goals. You will load and unload with a forklift, ensure product coding accuracy, pull orders, and assist in stock placement and cycle counts.

This role also involves completing shipping logs and monthly inventory, with opportunities to assist in blending platform setup when idle. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years in a food-manufacturing warehouse, capable of

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License is required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklift and load move system.

Responsibilities

• Operates fork lift to load and unload vehicles.
• Ensure products are properly coded.
• Pull orders and assist in warehouse placement of stock.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Complete logs and shipping/receiving paperwork; perform monthly inventory.
• Support set-up, pull ingredients, or load blending platforms when needed.
• Fill in for supervisor; understand finishing goods and raw material storage areas.
• Follow shipping/receiving department processes and paperwork; multi-task as needed.

Essential Functions

• Operates fork lift/trcuk to load and unload vehicles.
• Must insure all products are properly coded.
• Must pull orders and assist in warehouse placement of stock.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Must be able to complete all required logs, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and Perform monthly inventory without assistance.
• Assist Set-up in pulling ingredients or loading blending platforms, when there are no other duties that must be done
• Must fill in for supervisor
• Must have knowledge of finished goods and raw material storage areas
• Must have complete understanding of shipping and receiving department including paperwork
• This person will operate as a self starter, and be able to multi-task

Salary

• Pay range $24.74 - $30.92 an hour.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including proficient operation of stand up forklift and load move system.

Work Environment

• The job is performed in the production area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
