Job summary

New Weds Foods is seeking a warehouse professional at our Horn Lake, MS site to move materials between Blending, Packaging, and Warehouse areas. You will stock lines, assist with packing, and ensure pallets and materials flow smoothly to meet production needs.

The role requires 1 year packaging experience in food manufacturing, plus proficient forklift operation. You will work in a production area with exposure to aromas, dust, and machinery, and adhere to safety/Loto protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including proficient operation of stand up forklift and load move system.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move product from Blending to Packaging and from Packaging to Warehouse.
• Supply empty pallets and materials to pack lines as needed to keep packing lines operating.
• Assist in stacking at the end of the line by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet (lifting up to 25–55 lbs. continuously).
• Assist in dumping product at deck (pushing/pulling 100+ lbs).
• Assist as packer operator as needed.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
• Maintain integrity of raw materials.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keep area and equipment clean; follow LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Approximately 2 years previous experience in a forklift position/operation is preferred.

Work Environment

The job is performed in the production area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
