Newly Weds Foods in Chicago, IL is seeking a warehouse associate responsible for shipping/receiving, order pulling, and inventory tasks. The role requires operating a stand-up forklift, proper product coding, and maintaining accurate shipping paperwork.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL not required for shipping/receiving; but a CDL license is listed in qualifications.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, including stand up forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate fork lift to load and unload vehicles and move stock.
• Ensure products are properly coded and documented.
• Pull orders and assist in warehouse placement of stock.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts; maintain logs and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Complete monthly inventory and logs independently when required.
• Assist in packing ingredients or loading blending platforms as needed.
• Cover supervisor duties as needed and understand storage areas.

Job description

Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting shipping goals for customer orders by performing all required shipping and receiving functions.

Essential Functions:

• Operates fork lift/trcuk to load and unload vehicles.
• Must insure all products are properly coded.
• Must pull orders and assist in warehouse placement of stock.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Must be able to complete all required logs, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and Perform monthly inventory without assistance.
• Assist Set-up in pulling ingredients or loading blending platforms, when there are no other duties that must be done
• Must fill in for supervisor
• Must have knowledge of finished goods and raw material storage areas
• Must have complete understanding of shipping and receiving department including paperwork
• This person will operate as a self starter, and be able to multi-task

Salary:

• Pay range $24.74 - $30.92 an hour.

Qualifications:

• Class A CDL License
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including proficient operation of stand up forklift and load move system.

Work Environment:

• The job is performed in the production area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
