Job summary

Staples, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in Portland, OR. The position involves working in various warehouse areas, including forklift operation, replenishment, receiving, and shipping, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Roles may include Bulk/Material Handling, Porter, Replenishment, Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Returns, and Shipping as needed, with potential escalation to SC1/SC2 tasks based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to pick/move product up to 100 lbs within the warehouse.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside/outside the facility.
• Assist with receiving/putaway/returns and stacking/shrink-wrapping orders.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
