Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance program for AGV/LGV systems in a highly automated distribution center.

This role will oversee hourly maintenance staff and ensure uptime, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement align with business goals. The candidate will manage PM planning, calibrate AGV components (LIDAR, encoders, sensors), and present KPI reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of maintenance management experience supervising others.
• At least 5 years in automation/mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with electrical/high-voltage systems and conveyance automation.
• Experience managing vendors and CMMS.
• Experience troubleshooting automation controls using WCS/WES or PLCs.
• Experience maintaining spare parts inventories and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of AGV/LGV systems; monitor uptime and fault response.
• Lead and develop LGV Technicians and fault chasers; ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Plan PMs and repairs; drive continuous improvement and accountability.
• Direct maintenance activities; ensure policy compliance and KPI monitoring.
• Calibrate and align AGV systems (LIDAR, encoders, sensors); generate health reports.
• Perform RCA on recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
