Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a permanent full-time Automation Maintenance Technician in Pleasant Prairie, WI to repair and maintain automated packaging lines.

The role reports to the maintenance supervisor and requires hands-on work with state-of-the-art equipment to support safe, efficient operations. You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with on-the-job training and benefits starting at 30 days.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical certification in related field or 3 years of relevant experience (in lieu of certification) required
• Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment intermediate required
• Working knowledge of computer-based maintenance and parts inventory systems intermediate required
• Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability intermediate required
• Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software; Allen Bradley, Ignition, Wonderware preferred
• Understand 24VDC control systems, sensors intermediate required
• Experience with programming/troubleshooting Servo and Stepper motors
• Troubleshoot/program Bar Code Scanners and Vision Systems (Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence) intermediate required
• Warehouse maintenance safety procedures including LOTO/Fall restraint and MHE safety intermediate required
• Knowledge of operating MHE (Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift) intermediate required
• Ability to work independently in a safe manner (at heights)

Responsibilities

• Ensure PM entries into software are complete and accurate
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to stay organized and communicate with plant and corporate management
• Maintain spare parts inventories and ensure adherence to procedures
• Contribute to maintenance policies, procedures, and SOPs for the facility
• Keep maintenance area clean and tour-ready
• Ensure compliance with GMPs
• Establish work schedules meeting PM demands
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Participate in safety and Lean programs; support Ryder culture
