Job summary

OnTrac in Durham, NC is hiring for a Seasonal Package Handler. You will join a team to keep thousands of packages moving toward their next destination, starting with a 5-hour shift schedule and start times as early as 3:00 AM. No prior warehouse experience is required, and paid training is provided.

Earn $16.00 per hour with weekly pay, overtime when needed, and a seasonal bonus. This position is seasonal/part-time with opportunities for extension based on business needs and performance.

• Be dependable and available for your scheduled shift, including weekends or holidays when needed
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently
• Keep your work area organized and ready for action
• Work as part of a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time

This role is eligible for overtime pay consistent with applicable law.

Shift: Wednesday through Sunday or Monday through Thursday | 3:00 AM start Typical Shift Length: Approximately 5 hours End times may vary based on package volume and business needs.

Season Duration*: 11/02/2026 to 01/01/2027

What You’ll Need

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse role. With or without reasonable accommodation, you must be able to:

• Repeatedly lift packages as described above
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods during your scheduled shift
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull and squat while handling packages
• Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout your shift
• Work in hot or cold environments, as temperature control capabilities may be limited in the warehouse environment

Premium Holiday Pay

• Premium pay for hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
