Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, handle, stock, and dispatch goods in a busy distribution center. You will read schedules, load and unload shipments, and ensure accuracy while using forklifts or pallet jacks.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and meticulous record-keeping. The position requires a high school diploma with at least 1 year of related experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to load, unload, pick, pack, or move goods in a warehouse environment; forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or aptitude to learn; preferred tools include MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent is a plus.
• Ability to compile routine reports and write correspondence.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish tasks.
• Demonstration of attention to detail and safety-mindedness.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments by loading orders per production schedules.
• Unload and verify incoming goods against invoices and check for damage.
• Sort, label, and store items according to product codes and space optimization.
• Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods using pick sheets.
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
• Maintain inventory records and respond to inquiries about stock levels or schedules.
• Follow safety regulations and contribute to a safe work environment.
