Job summary

Lansing Building Products, a leading building materials supplier, seeks a Warehouse Associate to support daily operations in Portland, ME. The role includes greeting customers, ticket picking, loading/unloading trucks, and using RF scanners with the TWL Warehouse Management System.

Hours typically start around 7:00 AM and end about 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional variation by location. CDL reimbursement and pre-payment programs are available for qualified associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift boxes and building materials weighing up to 70+ lbs.
• Experience in warehouse environment preferred.
• Able to work in a team or with customers.
• Willingness to operate forklift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload trucks.
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to track products through TWL WMS.
• Verify accuracy of orders and shipments.
• Lift and move materials up to 70+ lbs.
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
