Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Asheville, NC to greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload trucks. The role uses handheld RF scanners and requires moving products through TWL with attention to accuracy and safety.

The position runs around 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with minimal weekend work and potential location variations. CDL reimbursement and pre-payment programs may be available for qualified associates.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
• Must be able to lift 70+ pounds.
• Ability to work in a team and with customers.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Able to start around 7:00 AM and work weekdays with potential location variation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload trucks.
• Use handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through TWL.
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received.
• Lift and move boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
