Job summary

Lansing Building Products in Sterling, VA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload shipments. You will use handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through our TWL Warehouse Management System.

A successful candidate must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, work well in a team, and maintain accuracy under deadlines. CDL reimbursement and pre-payment programs are available for qualified associates.

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience with building products is desirable
• Ability to work in a team and/or with customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and materials weighing up to 70+ lbs
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to new processes

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload shipments
• Use handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products via TWL WMS
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received
• Lift and move boxes weighing up to 70 pounds

Qualifications:

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)

• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
