Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Asheville, NC. The role involves greeting customers, handling order tickets, and loading/unloading trucks. You will use handheld RF scanners within our TWL warehouse system to move and track products, ensuring order accuracy and timely shipments.

The day starts around 7:00 AM and ends around 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with little weekend work. A CDL reimbursement program is available for qualified associates.

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience preferred.
• High integrity and high energy.
• Experience in building products and warehouse experience is strongly desired.
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with customers.
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing up to 70+ lbs.
• Experience with a forklift is a plus.
• Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to new processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload customer and company trucks.
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through our Warehouse Management System (TWL).
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received.
• Lift and move boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly.

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
