Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Warehouse Employee to join its distribution center in Manteno, IL. The role focuses on safe, accurate handling of products with electric pallet jacks and standard warehouse equipment.

You will load and unload, stock, count, and prepare shipments while maintaining inventory records and reporting variances. Qualified candidates have at least one year of electric pallet jack experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication, and a willingness to follow

• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and safety rules.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines.
• Do not have a peanut allergy.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment (90% inside, 10% outside).
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment such as electric pallet jacks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products
• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in product type and quantity
• Keep accurate records and reports for inventory management
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability, and product condition; report variances
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources
• Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, orderly fashion
• Assist in physical inventories and daily equipment inspections
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or customers

What’s a typical day as Warehouse Employee? You’ll be:

• Operating powered equipment such as electric pallet jacks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products

• Loading, unloading, moving, stocking, and staging products and materials

• Pulling and preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in product type and quantity

• Keeping accurate records and reports for inventory management

• Verifying load accuracy, checking load count, stability, and product condition, and reporting variances as necessary

• Changing equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitoring power sources as needed

• Maintaining equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion

• Assisting in physical inventories and completing daily equipment inspections

• Performing additional duties as assigned by management or customers

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have at least one year of electric pallet jack experience (required)

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (desirable)

• Have basic knowledge of warehouse operations, strong written and verbal communication skills, and can follow procedures and safety rules

• Adhere to GMP guidelines (no piercings, jewelry, artificial nails, lashes or polish)

• Do not have a peanut allergy as you will be working with peanuts

• Are able to work in a warehouse environment (90% inside, 10% outside) and perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, and operating equipment for extended periods
