Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an Administrative Assistant I in the Clothing Admin role at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center. You will sort, stock, label, sew, and deliver clothing items, assist with purchasing, laundry, and maintaining closets, and support the Home Supervisor with varied duties.

The role emphasizes inventory control, coordination with residents and group leaders, and maintaining an orderly wardrobe environment within a residential care

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clothing inventory management
• Ability to repair/replace clothing inventory
• Skill in sewing machine operation and needle/thread use
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
• Must have valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate clothing inventory for individuals served
• Purchase and stock clothing items; label and organize wardrobes
• Ensure proper tagging with resident names and home identifiers
• Assist with decoration and home upkeep to promote a home-like environment
• Participate in disaster response and continuity of operations as needed
