Job summary

Rain is seeking a Senior Wallet Architect to own the wallet infrastructure across custody, signing, and recovery. You will shape security policy, cryptographic choices, and multi-chain orchestration while maintaining scalable, developer-friendly APIs.

You will collaborate in a flat engineering culture, influence product direction, and work in a hybrid NYC-friendly role with focus on high-value asset protection and architectural rigor.

Qualifications

• Experience in wallet, custody, cryptography, or security infrastructure.
• Strong distributed systems and architecture fundamentals.
• Production wallet or key management system experience.
• Knowledge of MPC, threshold cryptography, or distributed key generation.
• Experience with high-value assets security.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of Rain's wallet infrastructure.
• Design secure, scalable systems for custody, key management, transaction signing, authorization, and recovery.
• Build and evolve wallet systems across EOAs, smart contract wallets, and multichain infrastructure.
• Define boundaries between cryptography and wallet orchestration, including keys, signing authority, and policies.
• Architect key management systems with generation, distribution, storage, rotation, backup, and recovery in hardware-backed isolation.
• Collaborate within Rain's open engineering organization and influence the product roadmap.
